Shai Gilgeous-Alexander makes his first All-Star game

Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been selected to his first All-Star game as a 2023 NBA Western Conference All-Star game reserve.

Shai is averaging 30.8 points, 5.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds per game. The Hamilton, Ontario native becomes just the fourth and youngest Canadian basketball player to be selected to the NBA All-Star game.

The 24-year-old Gilgeous-Alexander, joins eight-time selection Steve Nash (2002, 2003, 2005–2008, 2010, 2012), Jamaal Magloire (2004) and Andrew Wiggins (2022) as Canada’s only NBA all-stars.
