Cody Taylor: Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet has been named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, respectively, for Week 12 of the 2021-22 season (Jan. 3 – 9).
Fred VanVleet led the Raptors to a perfect 4-0 record last week, averaging 30.3 points (sixth in the NBA), 6.5 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 36.5 minutes. He shot .467 (42-90) from the field, .453 (24-53) from three-point range and a perfect 13-for-13 at the free throw line.
