Warriors still looking to add Jeremy Lin to their G League team

Marc Stein: The Warriors remain interested in adding Jeremy Lin to the @GLeagueWarriors should Lin decide to use the G League as the platform for a potential NBA comeback, league sources say – via Twitter TheSteinLine

The Warriors’ plans to bring Jeremy Lin onto their G League team fell apart Saturday night, when Golden State was unable to receive his Letter of Clearance from FIBA by the deadline. Lin, who played with the Chinese Basketball Association’s Beijing Ducks last season, had arranged to be signed and waived by the Warriors so that he could land with their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. But when that wasn’t possible, Golden State changed course, signing and waiving Elijah Pemberton so it could acquire his G League rights. – via Connor Letourneau @ San Francisco Chronicle

Bobby Marks: Some clarification on the Jeremy Lin situation: 1. Regular season rosters do not have to be set until Monday Dec. 21 at 11PM ET. 2. GSW could still sign Lin on Monday (if they receive FIBA clearance) but would take on two-day financial penalty. – via Twitter BobbyMarks42
