The NBA rescinded the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2022 second-round draft pick for violating league rules with the timing of the botched Bogdan Bogdanovic transaction.
“The penalty took into account the Bucks’ cooperation with the investigation, the absence of evidence of any impermissible early agreement on the terms of a contract between the Bucks and Bogdanovic, and the fact that the team ultimately did not sign Bogdanovic,” the league said.
The Bucks were aiming to complete a sign-and-trade with the Kings to bring Bogdanovic to Milwaukee before teams were permitted to speak with free agents in November, but Bogdanovic never agreed. Sacramento would have gotten Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova and D.J. Wilson in the failed deal. via theathletic.com
