Blake to sign with the Nets

Forward Blake Griffin has cleared free agency waivers and the six-time NBA all-star has signed with the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Griffin on why he signed with the Nets:

“They have a need for a four-man. I’ve always had a lot of respect for Steve Nash and all of the guys that they have. Sean Marks has done great job there. It was a tough decision and I wanted to be on a team that was contending.”

The Brooklyn Nets kicks off the second half of their season on Thursday, it is unclear if Blake Griffin will make his debut on Thursday when the Nets take on the Celtics.
