GREENSBORO, N.C. – C.J. Leslie’s 28-foot 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left gave Raptors 905 (10-2) a 115-112 win over the Greensboro Swarm (5-10) on Saturday night at the Fieldhouse, spoiling a furious comeback by the host team. Leslie finished with a team-high 20 points as the 905 ran their winning streak to seven games.
The 905’s largest lead of the night capped out at 22 and the visitors had a 13-point lead with 5:17 left in the game. But the Swarm slowly cut away at the disadvantage and eventually tied the contest in the final minute of the game. The epic comeback however fell just short as the Swarm couldn’t get a shot off with 1.1 seconds left for the team’s final possession.
Guard Aaron Harrison, on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets, led the Swarm in scoring with 34 points along with six rebounds and four assists. Fellow starting guard Archie Goodwin meanwhile had 24 points and eight boards. Perry Ellis (15 points), Rasheed Sulaimon (13 points) and Mike Tobey (11 points) each came off the bench with double-digit performances.
The 905’s scoring meanwhile was evenly distributed, with nine out of 10 players who saw the floor finishing with 10-plus points. Source: via Raptors905.com
